When does Gemini require a deposit on large orders?
A deposit may be considered on any order over $1,500 upon review of order history, payment history and our overall experience togeth- er. Should a deposit be needed a representative from Account Ser- vices will personally connect with your Account Payable to discuss a payment arrangement. A 50% deposit is typically requested, while extremely large projects or special situations are often deserving of a customized plan to move the project along. As large order history develops and with promising payment history, deposits often become a thing of the past. Are there any installation instructions for lit letters?
Lit letters are mounted no differently than any other products. Follow the proper installation instructions based on the mounting hardware used on your order. The installation for the electrical components are detailed in the wiring diagram included with your order. Gemini al- ways recommends that a licensed electrician handles the installation for the electrical components to ensure all connections are done safe- ly and correctly. Does Gemini make Raceways?
Gemini does not make raceways at this time.
How do detachable studs work / install?
Gemini’s Detachable Stud has a 1.5” long barrel that is connected with a set screw. In most cases, use your drill pattern to pre-drill holes. Then insert the base stud & female barrel into the wall with anchors or adhesive. Screw in the letter stud & male barrel into the letter. Lastly, join the 2 sides of the barrels together and tighten the set screws. If you have any question, please contact a fabricated/lit product specialist.
Are Gemini LEDs Dimmable?
Gemini’s LEDs are compatible with dimmer switches and dimmable power supplies, however, Gemini does not currently stock dimmable switches or power supplies. They will need to be supplied by the in- staller if dimming is needed. In special cases these supplies could be special ordered after review. Please contact a fabricated/lit product specialist for any questions.
Can you estimate how many LED’s & power-supplies my sign will use?
In many cases Gemini can have our UL certified staff review your sign to give an estimate of how many LED’s and power supplies. Be aware, this is an estimate only and could change slightly once we test light your sign. If you need an estimate, please contact a fabricated/lit product specialist and we can get the answer for you.
Do you offer custom stud locations for any of the il- luminated products?
Gemini can custom locate studs for some illuminated products. Our Luxe, Fabricated Trimless, and Mini Lit offer a near perfect placement. Our other lit products can place mounting in line for rails or race- ways. In special circumstances, custom locations may be available on these products upon review. Contact a fabricated/lit product special- ist if you have questions or need your sign reviewed.
Does brushed stainless steel and brushed aluminum match?
Brushed stainless steel and brushed aluminum does not match. If need be, it is best to match by material for a close match. For in- stance, small flat cut brushed aluminum pieces would match with a fabricated aluminum much better than a fabricated stainless with fabricated aluminum. As always, ask a fabricated/lit product specialist for a recommendation for your unique scenario.
Why is your fabricated stainless steel only available up to 36” tall?
Gemini recommends using much lighter aluminum for ease of install and handling at sizes over 36”. However, Gemini can commonly make sizes up to 48” or larger, with review, in our stainless steel materials. Please contact a fabricated lit product specialist and we can get you a quote.
Do you offer trim cap lit letters?
Gemini does not offer a traditional trim-cap channel letter at this time. Gemini’s face lit letters have a metal lip or exposed acrylic which are engineered for a long life. If you have questions please call a fab- ricated/lit product specialist for assistance.
