                                      Dr Alasdair Murrie-
                                      West (2008), former Acting
                                      Vice-Principal, has been
                                      appointed Principal of
                                      Dunmore Lang College in
                                      Macquarie University.  Dr
                                      Murrie-West holds degrees in
                                      Arts, Commerce, Theology,
                                      and recently completed a
                                      doctorate in Bioethics at the
                                      University of Melbourne.
                                      Alasdair’s research interests
                                      follow the intersections
                                      between fictional literature
                                      and personal ethics especially
            end-of-life decisions and euthanasia and he is currently working
            on a book in this area as well as a short course on fiction and
            business ethics. Alasdair is also interested in the training of
            student leaders and recently contributed to the Residential
            Leadership Programme at The University of Macau. ‘It is a
            privilege to be back in a College environment again and I am

                                  from my Master of Arts Management
                                  with a thesis in Arts Philanthropy in
                                  August and am loving working at
                                  The Australian Ballet. My boyfriend
                                  Rob (Skillington), also JCH alumni
                                  is happily working in Seattle at
                                  Microsoft.’
