INTRODUCTION

English is an international language that is used in many countries. Also, some
information such as, technological, scientific, social and academic texts are written in
English. Students can increase their knowledge throughout reading and writing academic
texts. Moreover, students are able to speak and listen to conversations. It means that they will
learn to interact with other people.

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Education (MinEduc) acknowledges the following three key
                  issues:

                      a. English language helps people to interact and comprehend cultures form other
                         countries.
                      b. Learning, teaching, assessment (CEFR)—which is internationally recognized and
provides a common basis for the elaboration of language curriculum guidelines and
                         syllabi
                      c. The Communicative Approach is the most recognized, accepted norm in the field of
                         language teaching and learning worldwide.

                                                       APPROACH

An approach is a way of looking at teaching and learning. Underlying any language
teaching approach is a theoretical view of what language is, and of how it can be learnt. An
approach gives rise to methods, the way of teaching something, which use classroom
activities or techniques to help learners learn.

Approach is the level at which assumptions and beliefs about language and language learning
are specified; method is the level at which theory is put into practice and at which choices
are made about the particular skills to be taught, the content to be taught, and the order in
which the content will be presented; technique is the level at which classroom procedures are
                  described.

                  THEORY OF LANGUAGE: DIFFERENT MODEL

                  COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH

Is mainly based up on four learning components: knowing what the learning goals
are, how do learners learn language, what activities better facilitate the learning process and
what the roles of both learner and teacher in class are. One relevant advantage of those
components lies in the fact that they enable sharp emancipation from behavioristic theories
