작가노트(Artist's Note)

나는 도시에서 태어나고 자랐다. 회화를 시작하면서부터 가장 한국적인 모습(우리의 시골 풍경)을 찾아가면서 그
리는 것을 좋아했다. 현대에 들어선 이런 풍경들의 모습은 찾아보기가 많이 힘들어졌다. 그래서 나는 한 주제를 가
지고 다양한 소재(예를 들어 파스텔, 수채화 등)로 그리는 것을 즐겨왔다. 앞으로도 그럴 것이다. 오래된 것, 시골의
풍경, 고목 등 바라보고 있는 것만으로도 알 수 없는 편안함이 나를 이끌기 때문이다.

I was born and raised in the city. Since I started painting, I have enjoyed depicting the most Korean
aspects (our rural landscapes) while exploring them. As we move into modern times, it has become
increasingly difficult to find such scenes. That's why I have enjoyed painting with various materials (such
as pastels, watercolors, etc.) on a single theme. I will continue to do so in the future. Looking at old
things, rural landscapes, tall trees, and more, the inexplicable comfort they bring guides me.
