Governor Stein Honors Military Appreciation Month

Gov. Stein Presents WWII Veteran with the Order of the Long Leaf Pine

May is Military Appreciation Month – an opportunity for us to honor our service members and veterans.

Major Joe Balogh is a 104-year-old WWII veteran who lives with his family in Franklin County. It was a pleasure
to visit with him and learn about his incredible service and an honor to present him with
the Order of the Long Leaf Pine in recognition of his heroism defending America against fascism.
