Touching The Cosmos

Moondog was a blind musician with an eclectic musical history. From releasing music with Julie Andrews, inventing musical instruments, being known to some as a father of sampling and being an inspiration to Jarvis Cocker, Debbie Harry and Brian Eno to name a few. Moondog wrote 2 canons, Cosmos I & Cosmos II that he never thought would get played as they required 1000 musicians and 8 conductors to realise them over a period of 9 hours. With musical direction from Charles Hazlewood and eight 125 piece orchestras, ‘Touching The Cosmos’ reveals for the first time ever Moondog’s epic and unheard composition.
