The Man Who Fell From Space
3 x 60’ HD / 4K ~ Air & Space / Biography / History / Docudrama / Documentary / Fact Ent / Science
Vladimir Komarov was selected for a space mission to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Soviet Union
After five hours and 19 orbits, against all odds, the heroic cosmonaut successfully managed to re-enter the earth's atmosphere manually, but his module was massively flawed. Despite his courageous efforts to control the craft, Vladimir Komarov, like a meteor falling from the sky, crashed to the earth's surface on April 24, 1967, becoming the first space fatality in history. But this mission should never have taken place in the first place.
Monster Inventions: Inventions that changed the World
8 x 60 HD / 4K ~ Digital / History / Factual / Early Peak / Science
If necessity is the mother of invention then wartime is the weird uncle that is constantly melting down iron girders for fun.
This 8 part series celebrates the weird and wonderful inventions that were thought up to win their war on either side of the fight.
Monster Inventions will look at the problems that were faced, the inventions that were born and the inventors who created them. The presenter led series will bring back to life some of these by experiencing them first hand, where they are still available or by using archive material in an immersive environment for the presenter whilst also getting expert insider information either from the inventors themselves, their relatives or historians.
