1.3.3 CRUISE DUTY & TAX FREE RETAIL METHODS
The overall cruise Duty / Tax Free retail channel includes two main sub-channels:
 On-board Duty / Tax Free stores or boutiques: On-board Duty / Tax Free stores or boutiques are those present on-board the cruise liner. On-board Duty / Tax Free retail opportunities are often tailored around luxury shopping experiences. Therefore, there is often a boutique style shopping environment to drive this perception; this is particularly the case among luxury categories such as Fashion & Accessories and Jewellery & Watches. In addition, multi-category, Duty / Tax Free stores are also present on the majority of cruises liners with product offerings including Alcohol and Confectionery to Tobacco and Electronics among others.
 On-land Duty / Tax Free port stores: On-land Duty / Tax Free port stores are those present in or within the vicinity of ports at departure destinations, scheduled call destinations and final destinations. The port Duty / Tax Free offering is much more reminiscent of traditional Duty / Tax Free retail, with multi-category stores often dominating retail space. This being said, smaller boutique style Duty / Tax Free outlets are also present in some locations.
