The Chinese government is taking steps to ease the process of applying for – and obtaining – a passport. With <9% of the population [130Mn] currently possessing a passport, it is hoped that the new streamlined process could see the
number of ‘holders’ double in under two years. CiR have witnessed that Chinese PAX growth only rose by 6% in 2017, so this news will surely come as welcome news to brands and retailers alike.
