WHEATON
Founded in 1837, Wheaton has grown into a thriving city known for its highly-
rated schools, beautiful parks and family-orientation. Its historic downtown
exudes an “old town” atmosphere with many boutique shops and restaurants.
Educational and cultural institutions include the Wheaton Public Library,
one of the top ten in the nation, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra, outdoor
markets and much more. The beauty of the area is enhanced by over 800 acres
of recreational park land. School District 200 is home to 2007 Blue Ribbon
Award winner Longfellow Elementary. Additionally, Wheaton has convenient
access to several major expressways and two train stops in town.
