With a unique focus on creative problem solving and real-world applications, AP Computer Science Principles prepares students for college and career. Areas of study include how the internet works, security, data management, the global Impact of computing and programming in Java Script. Students will submit an Explore Performance Task and well at a Create Performance Task to the College Board.

Students learn to make their own clothes and save money. Students complete at least five projects in the course including sports bags, backpacks, sleep pants, t-shirts, patchwork and stuffed animals. After finishing the class, students should be able to make their own clothing or home furnishings by following pattern guide sheets. The course also includes design principles and selecting the right colors to complement basic skin tones. There is some expense, as students will need to purchase materials. Clothing A may be taken as a single semester elective. TVUSD has an articulation agreement for this course with Palomar College.
