The primary focus of this year long course is designed to provide you the opportunity to participate in the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of television and video. By the end of this semester, you will have knowledge in scriptwriting, storyboard creation, basic operation of video camera, shooting techniques, editing, use of sound, lighting, public service announcements, various film genres, and documentary storytelling . A strong focus is placed on developing broadcast journalism skills for students to utilize on projects.
Advanced Video and Media Arts A/B

This class is designed to give students advanced skills in numerous areas of video production and broadcast journalism. Students’ primary focus in this class is the production of the WPTV morning announcements. The course gives students the initial knowledge and skills needed to enter the broadcasting industry. Students will also be exposed to the business aspect of this industry.
