The city will be working with its retail consultant, Retail Coach, to help recruit businesses to the location. The consultant has been representing Dinuba at national conventions over the past year.
Said James, “We’re working closely with our retail consultant, the same as east side [Mercantile Row]. Back in 2011 the city did sort of a conceptual plan for this area and called
for a mixed use... It will mostly include commercial retail.”
James said the center would likely consist of a mix of large and small retailers and fast and casual restaurants.
Some of the identified retail fits for Dinuba, based on a retail gap analysis presented earlier this year, include pharmacies and drug stores, clothing stores, supermarkets, paint and wallpaper stores, full service and fast-food restaurants, general merchandise stores and pet and pet supply stores.
