The event lasted through Feb. 6, Parento-Garcia said they received some donations from various campus and community members. She added that several criteria was required before students could take some clothes.
They were required to be a Reedley College student, and for the first day of the event, they were limited to three items.
"We didn't expect this type of a response, we actually didn't know what to expect, we knew that it was needed and we knew that because we listened to our students," she said. "We've also part- nered with local banks here in Reedley. They have greatly and generously given to our event."

pop up closet came at a per- fect time.
"I'm a single mother of three kids so this is really helpful because I was actu- ally going to go shopping this weekend," she said. "So the money saved from that, I can put it to other uses."
Parento-Garcia said she'd heard from several students that a pop up closet like the one they were hosting would be beneficial to many students on campus.
"So here in the Career and Employment Center we help students who are undecided on their major and try to help them understand if they're interested or transferring, or just what direction they want to go," she said. "We have a lot of students who are coming toustofindjobsaswellasto look for internships, and this was something that they defi- nitely expressed to us, that was a need for professional attire."
"This was really a lot of work," she told me. "But very much worth it."
Inside the closet was art student Cristina Garcia. Gar- cia let me interview her as she looked through clothes.
She told me she has been looking for clothes and this couldn't have come at a bet- ter time.
She also mentioned that she's in her last semester at RC and will be transferring to Fresno State soon.

She told me they listened to students and this week they were able to host their first annual Dress for Success event on the Reedley College Campus.
