Alfredo Bueno
Alfredo Bueno of Dinuba died April 8 in Visalia. He was 69.
Mr. Bueno worked as a safety director.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona Bue- no; one son, one daugh- ter, six brothers, two sisters, six grandchil- dren and nine great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Sterling & Smith Fu- neral Home in Dinuba. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, at St. Cathe- rine's Catholic Church in Dinuba. Interment will be at Smith Moun- tain Cemetery in Di- nuba.

Belmont of Orosi died March 10. He was 42.
Mr. Belmont worked
May 1. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pioneer Park.

De Estrada Victoria Martinez
De Estrada of Phoenix, Ariz., died March 31. She was 66.
Ms. Martinez de Es- trada worked as a care- giver.
She is survived by one daughter and one sister.
Visitation and rosa- ry were held April 12 at Wallin's Fowler Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held April 13 at St. Lucy's Catholic Church in Fowler. Interment followed at Fowler Cemetery.

Three men were ar- rested and nearly 6,000 live marijuana plants were seized in a large drug bust
  at a rural residence north of Sanger on April 8.
Fresno County Sheriff's Office narcotics detectives conducted the sei- zure at 9695 E. Tu- lare Ave., north of Highway 180 and west of McCall Avenue. The de- tectives believe the setup at the resi- dence was a cartel- funded
operation.
Detectives seized the
following:
• 5,910 live marijuana
plants, located both in- doors and outdoors
• 640 pounds of pro- cessed marijuana
• About 1,000 pounds of "shake" (dry marijua- na leaves used to make honey oil)
• Three firearms (a shotgun, rifle and hand- gun)
Detectives also ar- rested 41-year-old Eloy Avarca-Garcoa. 43-year- old Mateo Aispuro and

43-year-old Jose Lopez, all on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana for sale. The men were cited and re- leased from the Fresno County Jail.
“Despite personal use amounts of regu- lated marijuana being legal in California, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek out and destroy illegal marijuana gardens," FCSO spokesperson To- ny Botti said in a news release.
"These grow sites of- ten contain deadly pes- ticides and the money the cartel obtains from
them fund other crimi- nal activity such as Fentanyl, heroin, meth and cocaine production, along with human traf- ficking.”

 Dinuba library offering free day-use state park passes

The Dinuba branch of the Tulare County
Library is offering all Tulare County Library cardholders free vehicle day-use passes to more
than 200 participating California state parks,
The offer is being done in partnership be-
tween the First Partner's Office and the California State Library. Option to the free passes is avail- able to anyone who is a Tulare County Library cardholder.
Library cardholders are encouraged to check with the Dinuba or oth- er county branches for availability, or to place a hold in the catalog. For more information, go online to www.parks. ca.gov/?page_id=30806.
On Saturday, April 23, the Dinuba Branch Library invites the pub- lic to share and activities from around the world as part of World Book Day. The event will take place at 11 a.m. at the Visalia Branch of the county library.
