Officers completed 75 police reports, made 19 arrests and issued 12 traffic citations. There were four traffic colli- sions and three DUI cas- es, three fire calls and 23 medical aid calls.

disturbance. After in- vestigating, officers de- termined that a subject displayed a knife and swung it at a vehicle as the vehicle drove away. Officers were able to lo- cate the suspects, who were arrested for vari- ous crimes.

  Woman wounded by gunshot SE of Sanger on July 18

A 27-year-old wom- an suffered a gunshot wound and was treated at the hospital after being shot along a rural road just southeast of Sanger in the early morning hours of July 18.
Officers received a call at about 12:30 a.m. at 7th Street and Acad- emy Avenue regarding an injured person. The woman explained she
was driving to Sanger when a suspect vehicle encountered her vehicle at the intersection of Newmark and Central Avenues.
The victim said two armed males exited the vehicle and order the woman to get out of the car, but she refused and drove off as the suspects fired toward her. A bul- let struck the rear wind- shield of her vehicle and then struck her.
The woman was transported to a hospital and treated for a non- life-threatening wound
Since the incident
occurred outside the city, the investigation was turned over to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
