was reported in the 300 block of North Morningside Avenue at 12:16 a.m.
• A disturbance was reported in the 1100 block of East Ramblewood Drive at 12:50 a.m. Subject was reportedly intoxicated and had weapons inside the house.
• An assault was reported at Autozone at 3:26 a.m.
• Mail was reported stolen in the 100 block of South Palm Drive at 12:45 p.m.
• Vandalism to a residence was reported in the 800 block of Second Avenue at 3:42 p.m.
• Shots fired were reported in the area of Greene and Exie avenues at 2:47 p.m. Five to six shots were reportedly heard.
• Someone reportedly shot at a vehicle as it was passing by in the 400 block of North Lillie Avenue at 7:00 p.m.
• A male could be heard hitting a female near the backstop at Delgado Park at 8:04 p.m.
• Seven noise complaints were made on the evening of Nov. 10, all for loud music. Reports were made in the 1000 block of South Arno Avenue, the 1200 block of Malsch Strasse, the 300 block of South K Street, the 1100 block of North Villa Avenue, the 1200 block of Euclid Avenue and Haden Apartments.
Sunday, November 11
• Subjects were reportedly being loud as they were playing basketball in the 1800 block of Dunbar Way at 12:19 a.m.
• Vehicles were reportedly racing on San Antonio Avenue at 12:58 a.m.
• An aggressive pitbull was reported in the 700 block of Ashley Avenue at 1:18 a.m.
• Someone was reportedly trying to break into a vehicle in the 30 block of Morningside Avenue at 6:26 a.m. The suspect was described as having long hair and wearing a jean jacket.
• A theft report was made in the 800 block of North Alta Avenue at 2:34 p.m.
• An agressive German Shepard was reported in the 700 block of Second Avenue at 3:17 p.m.
• A male subject was reportedly hitting a female in the 300 block of North L Street at 3:33 p.m. The male was described as wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported on Bloomingdale Avenue. It was reported at 7:14 p.m.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of East Golden Way at 8:39 p.m.
Larry “Bubba” Bruce, a resident of Orange Cove, died November 11, 2018. He was 68.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba.
Surviving family include his mother, a spouse, two sons, a daughter, six grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
Ferdinand Bernie Escobar
Ferdinand Bernie Escobar, a resident of Orosi, died November 3, 2018. She was 66.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba.
Surviving family members include her mother, two brothers, and four sisters.

Antonio Angulo Garcia
Antonio Angulo Garcia, a resident of Orange Cove, died November 6, 2018. He was 66.
He was self-employed.
Mass service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at St. Isidor’s Catholic Church in Orange Cove.
Surviving family members include a spouse, two sons, a daughter, a brother, four sisters, and nine grandchildren.

Balbino Sosa Matias
Balbino Sosa Matias, a resident of Reedley, died November 8, 2018. He was 90.
He was a field laborer.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Church in Reedley. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Church mass will be on Wednesday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church.

Monday, November 5
• A male subject was screaming outside in the 1400 block of South Greene Avenue at 1:20 a.m.
• A suspiciouse vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of Aster Avenue at 7:49 a.m. The vehicle was described as a white van occupied by a male subject.
• Someone reportedly brandished a gun near Platinum Theater. It was reported at the Dinuba Police Department at 1:13 p.m.
• A possible residential burglary was reported in the 300 block of Bates Avenue at 1:28 p.m.
• Roosters were reported in the 1000 block of Cara Road at 2:06 p.m.
• Two intoxicated males were reportedly asking people for money in the area of Jade and Ashley avenues at 2:13 p.m.
• A bike was reported stolen in the 1800 block of Brown Way at 4:06 p.m. The suspect reportedly had red hair and was wearing a white shirt and dark colored shorts.
• A female was reportedly fighting with another female at Rose Ann Vuich Park at 4:21 p.m.
• Five juvenile shoplifters were detained in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 7:30 p.m.
• A subject was reportedly sleeping on the driveway near an alley next to the Quick Shop at 10:12 p.m.
• A rear license plate was reported stolen from a black Toyota Corolla in the 800 block of Buttercup Avenue at 11:06 p.m.
Tuesday, November 6
• A noise complaint for loud subjects and music was reported in the 400 block of North L Street at 2:23 a.m.
• A noise complaint for loud music was reported in the 300
block of South L Street at 10:54 a.m.
• An English Bulldog reportedly tried biting someone in the 500 block of Princeton Avenue. It was reported at 12:43 p.m.
• A possible structure fire was reported in the area of Avenue 360 and Road 76 at 1:46 p.m.
• A non-injury accident was reported in the intersection of Crawford Avenue and El Monte Way at 2:36 p.m. The accident involved a big rig truck and vehicle.
• A theft report was made in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 4:18 p.m. The suspect was described as female, wearing a white shirt and gray cardigan.
• Homeless subjects were reportedly camped behind a residence in the 700 block of Bloomingdale Avenue at 4:47 p.m.
• A bonfire was reported in a vacant residence in the 1300 block of East Whittaker Way at 6:26 p.m.
Wednesday, November 7
• An electrical fire was reported in the meat department of Walmart at 2:09 a.m.
• An assault was reported in the 300 block of North K Street at 12:02 p.m.
• A verbal altercation in the 1800 block of Meadow Lane reportedly led to a male subject throwing a knife at a vehicle. It was reported at 5:10 p.m.
• Vandalism was reported at Rose Ann Vuich Park at 8:47 p.m. A group of subjects reportedly moved and damaged tables at the park.
• A commercial burglary was reported in the 200 block of East Merced Street at 10:48 p.m. A male last seen wearing a big black jacket was reportedly breaking into a church.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 1400 block of South Greene Avenue at 11:51 p.m. The subject was reportedly knocking on a door and the
resident was afraid to answer.
Thursday, November 8
• Transients were reportedly living in the bushes in the area of El Monte Way and Monte Vista Avenue. It was reported at 11:36 a.m.
• A purse was reported found at Rose Ann Vuich Park. The purse was found at the park on Nov. 7 between 10 and 11 a.m. It was reported at 12:20 p.m.
• A white pitbull was running loose in the 900 block of Bellis Avenue at 12:51 p.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 1:10 p.m. The accident reportedly involved three vehicles.
• A license plate was reported stolen in the 1000 block of North Alta at 2:32 p.m.
• A suspicious subject was reportedly in a backyard in the 200 block of North Lillie Avenue at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, November 9
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the area of Avenue 384 and Road 80 at 3:26 p.m.
• A Yorkie puppie was found by the basketball courts at Lincoln Elementary School at 4:21 p.m.
• An assault by an unknown subject was reported in the 1200 block of East El Monte Way at 6:21 p.m.
• A trespasser was reported at Walmart at 6:37 p.m.
• A domestic violence report was made in the lobby of the Dinuba Police Department at 7:59 p.m.
• A theft report was made in the 900 block of West El Monte Way at 7:30 p.m. The suspect was described as a bald Hispanic male wearing a camouflage jacket and blue jeans.
• Suspicious subjects were reported in the area of Magnolia Way and Myrtle Avenue at 7:55 p.m. One subject was reportedly wearing a gray hoodie.
• An assault was reported in the 1200 block of East El Monte Way at 8:33 p.m.
• Suspicious subjects were reported in the 500 block of North Kelly Drive at 11:34 p.m. Two subjects were reportedly seen in the area wearing all black carrying a bat.
Saturday, November 10
• A noise complaint for kids playing basketball in the street
include a spouse, five sons, a daughter, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Felix B. Morales
Felix B. Morales, a resident of Orange Cove, died November 8, 2018. He was 90.
He was a field laborer.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 19 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel in Dinuba.
Surviving family members include two sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and six grandchildren.

Leonel Pena
Leonel Pena, a resident of Dinuba, died November 12, 2018. He was 84.
He was a laborer.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with rosary at 12 p.m. and funeral mass at 12:30 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Dinuba.
Surviving family members include a spouse, four sons, a daughter, two sisters, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Francisco Valadez Torrez, a resident of Dinuba, died November 2, 2018. He was 69.
He was a laborer.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.
Ethel Marie Rush

Ethel Marie Rush passed away peacefully on ursday, 8
Nov, 2018 at Timberview Care Facility in Albany
Oregon. Marie was 94 years old. She was born
on April 4,1924 in New Waverly, Indiana
to William omas Howell and Emma Lee Howell Townsend. She graduated from New Waverly High School in
1942 and completed a Personnel Management
Certi cate Program at Indiana University in 1943.
She worked as a secretary at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in
Maryland and Indiana State em- ployment Service in Logansport, Ind.
She joined the Cadet Nurses Corps and completed an acceler- ated nursing degree program at Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated in 1947 with an RN. She furthered her education with studies in Psychiatric Nursing at Indiana State Hospital in Longcli , IN.
A er graduation, she and her best friend Jessie, moved to southern California. It was there that she met the love of her life, Oren Nixon Rush Jr. Oren was at the family doctor’s o ce for a routine physical. A er examining Oren, the doctor gave him a prescription which said “take my nurse, Marie, out to dinner”. ey were married six weeks later and enjoyed life together for 63 years, until his passing.
ey moved to Dinuba in 1956 where Marie worked as an operating room nurse at Dinuba Alta Hospital. She worked there for 23 years, the last 10 as Director of Nurses and Assis- tant administrator. She was on the advisory committees for RN programs at the College of the Sequoias nursing program, and the LVN program at Reedley Junior college. In 1978, she was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown, to the advisory board of the Porterville State hospital where she served for two years.
Marie was also active in the Dinuba community. She was a 4-H project leader teaching sewing and a volunteer at the Di- nuba Blood Pressure Clinic. She was a life member of Califor- nia Garden club, a charter member of the Sierra Garden club, a past deacon in the Dinuba Presbyterian Church and helped with the making of stain glass windows for the church build- ing. She served as membership chair of the Dinuba’s Woman’s Club, and in 1976 served as second vice president of the Kings River Chapter of the California Women for Agriculture.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oren Rush, sisters Agnus Skelton, Opel Stiver, Margaret Iles, Nan Obenchain, and her brother, omas Howell. She is survived by her brother Ralph Howell, daughters and sons in law, Janice Rush Morris and Walter, Deborah Rush Kern and Kevin, Grandchildren: Marla Olson, Larry Olson, Lisa Olson Savage. Great grandchildren ranging in age from 20 years to 6 months: Tyler & Ti any Johnson, Samuel & Maylise Olson, Logan & Drake Alduenda, Luke Savage.
ere will be a graveside service Friday, November 16 at 11:00AM at Smith Mountain Cemetery. Service arrangements by Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Contributions in memory of Marie can be made to the Dinuba Presbyterian Church or the
Alta Historical Society or the charity of your choice.
