Dinuba High School recently named 22 students as Emperors of the Month. The students were recognized for showing character qualities such as excellence, maturity, perseverance and safety. The students are all part of the school’s Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports program, a program that looks to reward students for their good behavior rather than discipline them for their unwanted behavior.
Each student was recommended by a staff member at Dinuba High School. Here is what the different staff members said about this month’s Emperors of the Month.
David Arias, Sophomore
“David embodies EMPS on a daily basis. From being a hard worker in the classroom by holding at 4.1 GPA and completing phenomenal work to being involved in band, he never disappoints. Moreover, he also expresses empathy and care for others. This sets him apart from the rest and why he deserves this award.”
-Miss Sumpter, Social Science Department

She is always an excellent student in the classroom, including participation and helping others, as well as being a model for safety in the Science and Ag labs. sunshine and true delight to have in Ag Biology.” -Mrs. Borba, Science Department

Rosa continues to show why she is a top-level student. She pays attention to the smallest details. Rosa gives a great effort in everything we do.
