Georgia Lee Manning, a resident of Dinuba, died February 10, 2019. She was 87.
She was owner of Jim Manning Dodge.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 10 a.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 9 a.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
Gregorio Lagera
Gregorio Lagera, a resident of Dinuba, died February 10, 2019. He was 79.
He was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to 2

Carol May Spaunhurst
Carol May Spaunhurst, a resident of Dinuba, died February 3, 2019. She was 84.
She was a beautician.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Service will be at 1 p.m. at the Chapel.
Surviving family members include four sons, a daughter, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

District Attorney Tim Ward announced on Friday, Feb. 8, the promotion of Criminal Investigator Jose Benavides to supervisor.
"I am excited to begin this new chapter in my career, and I look forward to continuing my service to my community." said Benavides.
Benavides joined the TCDA Bureau of Investigations in 2001 as an Investigator Aide. After graduating from the 100th extended police academy class at the College of the Sequoias, he was promoted to Investigator and has worked in variety of specialized and general investigations. A native of Orosi, Benavides
has coordinated and assisted numerous community outreach efforts on behalf of the office.
“Supervising Criminal Investigator Benavides brings 17 years of experience to his new role as supervisor and a deep understanding of the unique and complex investigations the Bureau of Investigations is tasked with,” said TCDA Chief Investigator Lindy Gligorijevic. “His talents are as limitless as his commitment to the Office of District Attorney, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in his new leadership role.”
Benavides will begin his supervisorial duties in the Crimes against Persons / Trial Prep Unit.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.

Dinuba Police incident calls in the last week.
Monday, February 4
• Two male subjects were seen staggering near the intersection of East El Monte Way and California Avneue at 8:37 a.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported near the intersection of Avenue 412 and Raod 104 at 1:16 p.m. The accident was reported as a head-on collision with multiple injuries.
• A theft report was made in the 2200 block of East El Monte Way at 2:36 p.m. A juvenile reportedly tried taking a bottle of liquor and was confronted by an emplyoee.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the 1300 block of Academy Way at 3:49 p.m. The accident involved to trucks.
• A theft report was made in the 2100 block of East El Monte Way at 5:07 p.m. A male subject reportedly stole a pair of boots and fled the scene on a bike. He was described as wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
• A theft report was reported in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 7:31 p.m. The subject was reportedly detained by loss prevention.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the area of Road 68 and Avenue 424 at 9:36 p.m.
Tuesday, February 5
• An unattended juvenile was reported in the 1400 block of North Crawford Avenue at 6:36 a.m. A three-year-old was reportedly running on the sidewalk in underpants.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported near the intersection of North Alta Avenue and Davis Drive at 3:15 p.m. The accident involved a black Chevy Silverado and a gray Chevy S10.
• A traffic collision with possible injuries was reported near the intersection of Road 74 and Kamm Avenue at 5:42 p.m.
The accident reportedly involved three vehicles, and a child was possibly injured.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Alta Avenue and El Monte Way at 6:07 p.m. The accident involved a red Nissan Titan and a gray truck.
• An unwanted person was reported in the 1400 block of South Alta Avenue at 9:19 p.m. A female, described as wearing all black, was reportedly going through trash and tried to open a side door.
Wednesday, February 6
• A trespasser was reported in the 200 block of South L Street at 4:11 a.m. A subject was seen on surveillance camera inside the bowling alley.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the 1300 block of Euclid Avenue at 8:14 a.m. The accident involved a blue Kia and white Chevy Yukon.
• Drug activity was reported in the 1200 block of East Magnolia Way at 3:38 p.m. A blue van near California Avenue was believed to be selling drugs to juveniles.
• Two females were reportedly in a physical altercation in the 200 block of West North Way at 5:56 p.m.
• A male and female were causing a public disturbance with loss prevention in the 700 blcok of West El Monte Way at 9:17 p.m.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 600 block of East El Monte Way at 8:04 p.m. A subject was reportedly seen breaking into a detatched garage at a vacant house.
Thursday, February 7
• A fire was reported in the 100 block of Vermont Avenue at 7:23 a.m. The fire was reported as a kitchen fire.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported near Lincoln Elementary School at 11:49 a.m. A female in
a white SUV had reportedly been circling the area.
• A reckless driver was reported in the 1600 block of East El Monte Way at 2:16 p.m. A white Toyota Highlander was reportedly swerving in the area.
• A male wearing a brown trench coat and brown cowboy hat was reportedly harrassing people near a store in the area at 8:47 p.m.
• An intoxicated female was reportedly banging on a door in the 1400 block of East Kamm Avenue at 9:51 p.m.
Friday, February 8
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the 300 block of Lillie Avenue at 12:14 p.m. The accident involved a white Ford and a black Toyoto Tacoma, and a verbal altercation reportedly started between the two parties.
• A two or three-year-0ld child was reportedly seen walking by herself in the area of South Q and Kern Street at 1:30 p.m. The child was reportedly wearing a pink shirt and no adults were seen in the area.
• A male subject wearing gray sweatpants and a gray sweater with red and blue on it was reportedly kicking a person's car in the 900 block of East Saginaw Way at 4:15 p.m.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Rosemary and Heather avenues at 5:43 p.m. A subject in a tan Chevy Silverado was reportedly parked in the area for a couple of hours.
• A vehicle burglary was reported in the 400 block of North L Street at 5:49 p.m. A male subject was reportedly seen trying to break into a vehicle there and then headed west on Mariposa Street.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 700 block of Jade Court at 7:32 p.m. A male subject wearing all black was reportedly riding a bike that was pulling a wagon and was going back and forth.
• A party with underage drinking was reported in the 1100 block of East Sequoia Drive at 10:54 p.m.
Saturday, February 9
• A non-injury traffic collision
was reported in the area of Palm Drive and East El Monte Way at 1:58 a.m. A vehicle reportedly struck a palm tree in the area.
• A large tree reportedly fell on a vehicle in the 400 block of North K Street at 3:49 a.m.
• A bag filled with appeared to be marijuana was reportedly found at the dog park on Nebraska Avenue at 1:04 p.m.
• A theft report was made in the 900 block of West El Monte Way at 3:32 p.m. The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle last seen on Monte Vista.
• Unwanted persons were reported in the 1200 block of Magnolia Way at 4:51 p.m. Three to five homeless subjects were reportedly staying in a parking lot of an apartment there.
• Four noise complaints for loud musice were made in the 600 block of North Whitney Avenue. Reports were made at 5:46 p.m., 6:03 p.m., 6:46 p.m. and 7:51 p.m.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of East Northridge Drive at 10:58 p.m. A van was parked in the area with subjects inside.
Sunday, February 10
• A noise complaint for loud music was made in the area of Sequoia and Newton drives at 12:50 a.m.
• A public disturbance was reported in the 500 block of North Crawford Avenue at 11:27 a.m. Two subjects were reportedly throwing bricks at each other.
• A reckless driver was reported in the area of Kamm and Alta avenues at 4:00 p.m. A newer white Chevy Camaro was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed in the area and almost hit another vehicle.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Way at 4:13 p.m. A vehicle with two to three subjects inside was reportedly parked in the area for about an hour.
• Shots fired was reported in the area of Hayes Avenue and North Way at 10:41 p.m. One short was heard.
• Shots fired was reported in the 200 block of North Way at 11:46 p.m. Approximately 10 shots were heard in the area.

Erma Isaac
Erma Isaac was born on a country farm outside of Meade, Kansas in 1928. She
was the  rst born of six siblings of Martin and Marie Friesen. She
met and married Pete A. Isaac in 1948 and their honeymoon was a
trip and move to
Dinuba, California.  ey raised
 ve boys, Rod, Burdett, Linden, Gary and Don, on a farm northwest
of Dinuba. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to many.
She passed into Glory on February 7, 2019, at Sierra View Homes in Reedley.
You are loved and will be missed.  e Boys.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM of Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Dinuba Mennonite Brethren Church. Donations to Sierra View Homes, 1155 E. Spring eld Ave, Reedley CA 93654.
