The Flood of 1969 - Fifty years ago Dinuba the surrounding communities received a deluge of rain that punched a hole in an Alta Irrigation Ditch that was measured at 6 feet deep and 60 to 80 feet wide. By late February, Alta Irrigation had reported receiving a record amount of over 20 inches of rain on the season. By comparison, this year's total sits at just over 6 inches. Many of Dinuba's Chinatown streets were flooded as a result. The photo to the right was taken on the corner of South P and Ventura Street.
