Jimmy Hignojoz and Hoover each had hits in the bottom of the third as the Rangers went ahead 10-2.
In their final at-bats, Kayden Espino and Alex Barragan each drew walks to put runners on 1st and 2nd base for the Dodgers. Espino managed to score on a bases loaded walk before Pompa ended the game with consecutive strikeouts.
“We got a few runs off some mistakes,” Hignojoz said. “They had the bases loaded and we were sweating it. We didn’t have any pitchers left. They just needed that one base hit.”
Sonny said the season was a memorable one.
“They played great every game through the season and it was fun, and exciting to see. It was a great season and we won the championship.”
Tonight is the all-star game that will be held at 6 p.m. at Roosevelt Park.

The Warriors answered as Judy Perez drew a walk and Haley Quintana hit a double. After another walk, Patterson hit a hard grounder past the infield to drive in two runs. Patterson would score on a deep hit off the bat of Rubacalba that got past a Lady Heet outfielder to cap off a wild five run inning.
The Warriors added one more run in the fourth inning as Patterson set the Lady Heet down in order for the victory.
When asked to sum up the season, Flores responded, “I give it a 10.”
Members from both teams will be represented in tomorrow night’s all-star game. Game is set for 6 p.m. at Roosevelt Park.
