Meanwhile, Gutierrez ends with the most re- bounds in a season with 352.
“I think setting these school records shows how much work we’ve put into basketball,” Gal- pinsaid. “It’samazingtothinkourrecordswill stay there until the next set of girls comes and breaks them. But I think our records will last a while.”
Gutierrez also ends her time at Immanuel second all-time in assists (319) and second in steals (340). Both marks rank her behind March.
She was named CSL MVP in 2018, averaging a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She also is a All-CSL First Team Selection in 2016 and 2017.
“I couldn't have done it without my team. So knowing that they played a roll in it make it bet- ter,” Gutierrez said. “They made me better. It's really exciting, knowing I'll be leaving Immanuel with my mark.”
Galpin is the first in school history to break 1000 rebound mark, her 337 rebounds this year places her second all-time in a season, and she broke the school record with 30 rebounds in a game against Fresno High on Feb. 28. She also had 20 points in that Division III playoff game against Fresno. The 30 rebounds placed her fifth best in section history.
Galpin finished first all time in the program with 182 blocks. Her 50 blocks this season places her first in a single season.

It was a bittersweet moment on May 31 for Ava Galpin and Krystale Gutierrez as Immanuel High School held its graduation ceremony.
While the duo walked across the stage to re- ceive their diplomas and prepared to begin the next journey in their lives, it also marked the end of their time as Immanuel High Eagles girls bas- ketball players.
Galpin and Gutierrez will be remembered as two of the most decorated players to step on the court at Immanuel High.
In their four years at Immanuel, the duo helped lead the Eagles to an 84-39 overall record, three Central Section Titles and three Central Se- quoia League Championships. The Eagles record was 34-6 in the CSL in those four years.
Gutierrez finished her run at Immanuel as the programs all-time leading scorer with 1,638 points. Galpin finished second on the all-time scoring list with 1,372 points.
Both players surpassed the record set by Zoe March, who played for the Eagles from 2012 to 2016. She ended with 1,202 points.
Gutierrez also set the record for most points in a season with 578 (2017-18) and most points in a game (46 points against Firebaugh, Dec. 28, 2017.) In that game she also had 15 rebounds and 10 steals.
“Being able to hold the career scoring record is a very big accomplishment,” Gutierrez said. “Every year I've played basketball here at Im-
manuel it was a new journey to walk through. Knowing who held it before and all the work it took to even be able to hold this record makes it all the better to know it was fought for and a lot of effort was given.”
