More than 800 Apache fans made the trip to Paso Robles for last week's final non- league game with the Paso Robles Bearcats.
The Tribe, the student section, and The Na- tion, the rest of us, crowded together in the compact Paso Robles stadium to watch the Apaches edge the Bearcats 27-24 in an atmo- sphere reminiscent of Tom Flores Stadium.
Both sides kept up an almost constant cheering for two of the winningest high
school football programs in the state.
The travelling Apache crowd, not quite as
large as the hometown Bearcats crowd, was a very effective 12th man on the field.
Our hometown crowd will be huge this Fri- day with the Apaches in Tom Flores Stadium to play the Madera Coyotes and NFL great Tom Flores at the game as grand marshal of the homecoming parade.
Better get there early!
The flyer below, circulating on social media, tells the story.
