Our Pets of the Week are Tammy, Timmy and Luna.
When I got to the shelter on Tuesday morning to take photos Tammy was just starting a walk with volunteer Jacqueline DiBello and Luna was getting ready to hop into a van and head out to a foster home.

last week is probably Tammy's brother, said volunteer coordina- tor Kim Reed. "They were found together, they're the same age and they look and act so much alike."
They are very social six month old malinois/shepherd mixes. They get along well with other dogs and they know how to walk on a leash.
Luna is a beautiful husky who is still available for adoption while he's at his new foster home.
"We need more adoptions and foster homes and we need them as soon as possible," said Kim. "The shelter is full. We have no place to put any more dogs."
Also at the crowded shelter, hop- ing you will come by to meet them are Star, Queenie, Thor, Tyson, Balto, Juno, Brodie and Rusty.

Let Kim know if you're able to provide a temporary foster home for any of the shelter dogs or if you would like to be a volunteer at the shelter.
Also let her know if you can donate treats, bowls, collars, har- nesses or leashes.
"We would really like to have more'stepin'harnessesbecause when some of the dogs first get to the shelter they're a little skittish about having a harness put on
them," said Kim.
The next big adoption event will
be "Super Adoption" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 4 at the Valley Animal Center at 3934 N. Hayston in Fresno.
"That's near Dakota and Hwy 168," said Kim. "Animal shelters from all over the Valley will be there."
