Members of the Fresno County Pro- bation Department's Adult Compliance Team have made an ar- rest in a case where a Kingsburg fire captain was injured during a hit and run crash on Dec. 8.
The suspected driv- er, 53-year-old Rory Dale Carlock of Selma, was taken into custody on Dec. 17.
A news release from the Kingsburg Police Department said the fire captain was check- ing a gas leak near the intersection of 10th Av- enue and Winter Street in Kingsburg when a dark colored car struck him and then fled the scene. Detectives iden-
tified the car, then on Dec. 10 a similar mod- el was found in an or- chard north of Selma.
The California Highway Patrol recov- ered the vehicle and Kingsburg PD detec- tives determined that it was the same vehicle used in the hit and run. Detectives were able to place Carlock in the ve- hicle at the time of the hit and run and later with the vehicle when he burned it.
At the time of the in- cident, Carlock was on AB 109 Post Release Community Supervi- sion for a previous drug charge.
Carlock was booked into the Fresno Coun- ty Jail on six felony and two misdemeanor charges.
