Another common scam to be aware
of is when a caller directs you to pur- chase gift cards and read them the security codes on the card, which al- lows the suspect access to the money. Some of the more popular gift cards requested are Vanilla Visa and Green Dot MoneyPak. Requests are usually made for hundreds of dollars.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office wants to make it clear to the public that it never makes solicitations for money or asks for the payment of fines over the phone.
Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit...fruit that lasts” (John 15:16) In response, First Lutheran Church holds values of Bible Centered Preaching and Teaching, Strong Families, and Godly Servant Leadership. A church where God gives and we receive.

sel and advice to the president.
Masumoto, a Yonsei (fourth-generation Jap- anese American), works with her father David Mas Masumoto on the Masumoto Family Farm in Del Rey, an 80-acre organic farm that grows peaches, nectarines, apricots and grapes for raisins.
Masumoto devel- oped and performed a one-woman show called “What We Could Carry,” which showcases the ex- periences of Japanese Americans before, dur- ing and after the intern- ment of World War II. In 2016, she performed an excerpt from the show at the White House.
She has co-authored
two books — “The Per- fect Peach” and “Chang- ing Season.” Along with Fresno State fac- ulty member and poet Brynn Saito, Masumoto co-founded the Yonsei Memory Project, which uses arts-based inquiry to generate dialogue con- necting the WWII incar- ceration of the Japanese American community with current civil liber- ties struggles.
Rod Higgins
The Foundation Board of Governors’ mission is to advance the University’s strategic objectives by encourag- ing philanthropy, inspir- ing leadership and pro- moting fiscal account- ability. The 33-member board includes commu- nity members who rep- resent a diverse array of business and industry
expertise.
Higgins should be a
familiar name to those who followed the suc- cess of the Fresno State men’s basketball team during the Boyd Grant years. The Bulldogs fin- ished the 1981-82 cam- paign ranked No. 11 in the nation by the Associ- ated Press with a 27-3 re- cord and a Sweet 16 ap- pearance led by Higgins, Donald Mason, Bernard Thompson, Bobby Davis and Tyrone Bradley.
The Chicago Bulls drafted Higgins in the second round of the 1982 NBA draft. Higgins played in the NBA for 13 seasons (1982-1994), as a member of the Chicago Bulls, Seattle SuperSon- ics, San Antonio Spurs and Golden State War- riors, among others.
From 2007 to 2014, he was with the Charlotte Hornets, starting as gen- eral manager, later go- ing on to become presi- dent. After Higgins left the Hornets he joined the Atlanta Hawks as a college scout in 2017 and was then promoted to vice president of bas- ketball operations for the Hawks in 2018.

tried calling two of these numbers. One line was never picked up. During the other attempt, a woman answered. When asked if this is the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, she said yes. Officials asked for her name and she claimed it was Denise Waters. Botti said she is not one of FCSO's employees.
"Once we notified her this was the real Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and it appeared she was taking part in a scam, 'Denise' immediately hung
