Aurajo was 23rd in 2:18.65. Padilla also had placed 15th in the 1,600 in a time of 4:50.56 while Estrada was 27th in 5:05.46 and Aurajo was 30th in 5:05.49.
Buchanan’s Max Erl won the 800 in 2:00.86 and Joseph Macareno of Tulare won the 1,600 in 4:27.21.
In the shot put event, Estevan Diaz had a throw of 40-feet for 10th overall. The winner of that event was Buchanan’s Christian Johnson who had a mark of 58-11.
Dinuba will be in action tomorrow in a meet at Coalinga.

a layup from Elias Flores before Fox nailed his fourth 3 in the quarter with 3:20. In a see-saw battle, the Mustangs took a 62-61 lead on a rebound basket by Fox with under 2:10. Jacob Rodriguez’s two free throws moved DHS back in front 63-62 only to have Lincoln go back up 64-63 on a rebound basket from Samhi. With 18 seconds remaining, the Mustangs had their largest lead of the game on a pair of free throws by guard Jordan Aquino, 66-63.
Dinuba got out to a quick start and led 16-13 after the end of the first quarter. The Emperors led by as many as five points before the Mustangs tied the game at 22 on a 3 by Jordan Aquino. Lincoln went ahead 24-22 on a bucket by Zev Curiel-Friedmanl. DHS went back up before the half as E. Flores scored five consecutive points.
Rodriguez led all scorers with 23 points and Magaña had 12. E. Flores and Calderon had nine points apiece while I. Flores and J. Rodriguez chipped in eight points each.
On Thursday evening, Dinuba posted a 62-49 home win over Argonaut as the Emperors outscored the Mustangs, 21-11, in the 4th.
Dinuba opened the 4th with a pair of 3’s from L. Rodriguez and E. Flores for a seven point lead, 47-40. L. Rodriguez then converted a pair of free throws after a technical foul was called on Argonaut’s Westleigh King. The lead grew to 52-40 on back- to-back layups by L. Rodriguez and E. Flores.
The Mustangs could not draw any closer as L. Rodriguez made four straight free throws down the stretch to secure the win in front a packed gymnasium.
Dinuba had trailed Argonaut in the first quarter, 11-6, as the only points scored for the Emperors were 3’s by E. Flores and L. Rodriguez. The Mustangs pushed the lead to 20-11 and DHS responded behind a quick 7-0 run capped off by a layup by I. Flores. Down 22-18, Calderon helped the Emperors tie the game at the half with consecutive baskets.
In the third quarter, Dinuba got hot from the outside as the Emperors drained five 3’s one each from L. Rodriguez, E. Flores and I. Flores while Garza made a pair including one with under 30 seconds for a 41-36 lead.
L. Rodriguez had 28 points for DHS.

Dinuba High basketball player Luke Rodriguez is named Athlete of the Week after scoring a game-high 23 points including a game- tying 3-pointer at the end of the 4th quarter as the Emperors defeated Lincoln- San Francisco in overtime, 78-73, in a NorCal Regional Division V semi nal game.

Kayla Villareal drove in a run and had two hits including a double. Also driving in runs were Martinez and Faith Hernandez.
The Emperors also posted a 5-1 win over Central as Garcia had two hits and a pair of RBI’s and J. Flores along with Erica Flores also had two hits and each had an RBI.
Martinez picked up the win in the circle limiting the Grizzlies to three hits.
On Friday afternoon at Fresno High, Dinuba broke open a 2-0 game with five runs in the second and six in the third as the Emperors blasted the Warriors, 20-0.
Dinuba ripped five extra base hits including a pair of triples from Villareal and Isella Villareal, who also had a double.
Garcia went 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored two runs.
E. Flores and Riley Bautista shared team-high honors with 3 RBI’s apiece while Hailee Zapien had two hits and 2 RBI’s. I. Villareal had two hits and scored four runs.
Dinuba is scheduled to play at Edison this afternoon at 4 p.m. before wrapping up the Buchanan tournament on Saturday.
Senior Alexa Garcia continues to hit at a torrid pace as the Emperors improved to 8-0 after a pair of wins on Monday in the Buchanan Preseason tournament.
“Alexa is crushing the ball,” said coach Bryan Patterson.
In a 5-2 win over El Diamante, Garcia hit a home run and a double while driving in a pair of runs and scored twice to pace a 10-hit attack.
Patterson said the team did make three errors against El Diamante but were able to pitch around
it.
“We made some mistakes but the girls didn’t
panic,” he said.
Starting pitcher Juliana Flores went four innings
before being relieved by Kirsten Martinez. “Juliana pitched well for us and hit some rough spots and Kirsten pitched the last inning and a third,” Patterson said. “We got the hits when we
needed to.”

Bingo Night Fundraiser

Dinuba Aquatics Boosters & Vietnam Veterans of America and the American Legion Committee will be hosting their 1st annual Bingo Night Fudraiser.
The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on April 3 at the Dinuba Memorial Hall.
The fundraiser will assist in
scholarships that the American Legion awards every year as well as aid in the completion of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Furthermore, it will allos the DHS swim program to send swimmers to summer camps and help pay for equipment needed for the programs.
