• The city of Dinuba’s 2018 Spring Fling has been announced for March 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roosevelt Park.
The event will feature an Easter egg hunt for kids 10 years old and younger, as well as games and activities including a bounce house, face painting and a “bunny walk.” The Easter Bunny will also be in attendance.
Roosevelt Park is located at 1890 East Elizabeth Way.
• The Andrew Bedoya Memorial Scholarship Foundation will be holding its third annual fundraising dance and silent auction on March 24 at the Dinuba Memorial Building. Proceeds benefit the Andrew Bedoya Memorial Scholarship.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the silent auction will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and the dance will be held from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

• The 5th Annual Dinuba Relay For Life 5K Walk/Run fundraiser will be held at Ridge Creek Golf Course on March 31. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the Run/Walk beginning at 8 a.m. Registration/donation is $25.

• The 13th Annual Ikebana Flower Show and United Methodist Women Boutique at Palm Methodist Church in Dinuba will be held Saturday, April 7, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
Admission is $5. Free refreshments will be provided. Proceeds benefit Dinuba Open Gate Ministries and Reedley Community Youth Ministries.

• The Alta District Historical Society is holding a yard sale on Saturday, April 7, starting at 8 a.m. at 275 South K Street in Dinuba.

Marcial Zepeda Delgadillo, 42, of Dinuba, was booked March 10 on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, owning or operating a chop shop and conspiracy to commit a crime, all felonies.
Dinuba Police reportedly found the suspect in possession of a stolen vehicle that was dismantled, a report said. The suspect allegedly admitted to “assisting with removing vehicle parts.”
He was arrested in the 2600 block of Road 72 and transferred to county jail.
• Rey Rodriguez, 19, of Dinuba, was booked March 12 on suspicion of inflicting corporal injuries to a spouse or cohabitant, a felony.
He was arrested in the 100 block of South Q Street and transferred to county jail.
• Celeste Marie Friesen, 19, of Dinuba, was booked March 12 on suspicion of inflicting corporal injuries to a spouse or cohabitant, a felony.
She was arrested in the 200 block of South Q Street and transferred to county jail.
• Jose Alfredo Angulo, 39, of Orange Cove, was booked March 11 on suspicion of violating a restraining order, a misdemeanor.
He was arrested in the 1000 block of East El Monte Way and transferred to county jail.
• A 14-year-old girl was booked March 10 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, a felony.
The suspect allegedly “struck the victim in the head” with a glass bottle, a Dinuba Police report said.

An estimated $14,300 in stolen oranges was suffered by Margosian Bros Farms last week.
The incident occurred at the farm’s orange grove near Dinuba in the 7200 block of Avenue 408 between March 5 and March 6. The Tulare County Sheriff’s Cyber

Forensics Investigation Unit collected evidence at the scene. An investigation is ongoing by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Agriculture Crime Detectives.

Police that the suspect punched the victim in the face and fled with their cell phone and money. Injuries were reportedly visible.

• Kylie Ann Jarboe, 28, of Squaw Valley, was booked March 7 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing unlawful paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
The suspect was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and a meth pipe when contacted on a traffic stop, a Dinuba Police report said.
She was arrested in the 700 block of West El Monte Way, cited and released.

• David Ernesto Vargas, 21, of Dinuba, was booked March 9 on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant,
a felony.
The suspect allegedly scratched
and choked the victim, according to a Dinuba Police report. Scratches were visible on the victim, the report said.
The suspect was arrested in the 1400 block of Eaton Avenue and transferred to county jail.
• Maggie Lopez Vega, 43, of Dinuba, was booked March 9 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
She was arrested in the 100

According to a Dinuba Police report, officers responded to an assault at Wal-Mart. The suspect allegedly led police on a “short pursuit”.
He was arrested in the 41000 block of Road 74 and transferred to county jail.
• Julio Cobos, 42, of Dinuba, was booked March 7 on suspicion of robbery and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, both felonies.

Sentinel staff report
Orosi High School recently became the latest of many Central Valley schools to be afflicted with social media threats.
Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation after receiving information that an Orosi High School student “made threats to harm some of their classmates during school hours.”
TCSO deputies arrested a
juvenile student of OHS on March 7 for threatening two classmates and posting threats on social media. The suspect was identified and arrested without incident on suspicion of criminal threats and booked at the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Center.
