Café Bistro / Billiards
Bring a friend and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and a danish and play a game of pool. We play at 9 a.m. Mon- days to Fridays at the senior center.
Senior Center Lunches
Meals taste so much bet- ter when you enjoy them with others! Join us in the Phil Hudson Senior Room weekdays at 11 a.m. (except holidays) for a nutritious lunch and good time. The program is partially funded by the Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging.
If you are 60 or older, a suggested donation of $1.50 is appreciated but not re- quired. Reservations must be made by 11 a.m. the weekday before you plan to attend. Call (559) 637-4207.

June 29, 6:30 p.m. “1971” documentary, presented by the Reedley Peace Cen- ter's Summer Film Series. This documentary, from 2014, is about the March 8, 1971 break-in at an FBI of ce in Media, Penn. Eight people from the Citizens’ Commission to investigate the FBI stole more than 1,000 classi ed documents because of suspicion of government surveillance on civilian political activists. Tai Chi Class
Join us for tai chi on Mondays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. The benefits include bet- ter balance and prevention of falls, increased circula- tion, improved breathing and improved mind. It’s $10 per month. Register at the Reedley Community Center office, 100 N. East Ave., and pay for the class.

Bluegrass band to perform in benefit for Reedley's
River City Theatre Company at Opera House
Popular Fresno State sweet corn now on sale

Uncle Ephus, a popular bluegrass band from Fresno, will perform on Saturday, June 30, in a benefit for Reed- ley’s River City Theatre Com- pany.
The concert will be in the home of RCTC – the historic Reedley Opera House at 1720 10th St.
Appetizers and bar ser- vice will begin at 6:30 p.m. There also will be a silent auction.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
Proceeds will go toward preparations for RCTC’s 2018-19 season, which will be the theater company’s 16th season.
RCTC has earned a repu- tation for presenting quality musicals, comedies and plays within the intimate setting of the historic Reedley Opera House and its small stage.
The new season will in- clude first-time productions for RCTC, such as the musical “9 to 5,” based on the 1980 hit comedy movie, and the 1997 musical-comedy “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”
Fresno State’s renowned campus-grown sweet corn is now available at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Mar- ket, 5368 N. Chestnut Ave. in Fresno.
Customers can choose from the traditional yellow and white varieties of the market's most popular prod- uct.
“This is an exciting time of every year for the Gibson Farm Market and the Central Valley,” said David Sieperda, campus farm manager, in a university news release.
“The cold, late winter weath- er pushed the growing sea-
son back a few weeks, but we should now be well stocked through August if not longer for our loyal customers.”
More than 800,000 ears were sold in 2017.
The store’s summer hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
