Selma made it a fight in the fourth quarter and showed no sign of surrender. With less than four minutes left in the game, Selma was able to cut Dinuba’s lead to just five points, trailing the Emperors 52-47. And with just under two minutes to go, Selma found themselves the closest they’d been since the first quarter, down 54-50.
A big rebound and put back by Dinuba senior Arnel Bergonia put the Emperors up by six with just over a minute left in the game. Dinuba would then close out the game with free throws, and dribble out the Emperors’ first victory over Selma in the last four years.
“It was a big win for the program,” said Schofield.
With the win, Dinuba improved their overall record to 18-7, and are 6-3 in league. Their last league game was Tuesday against Exeter. That game took place after publication.
Dinuba 53, Reedley 40
There are four seniors on the Dinuba High School varsity boy’s basketball roster this year. Saturday night, those four seniors were all in the starting line up during Senior Night for the Emperors.
The result was an offensive barrage, kicked off by a 3-pointer in the left corner by senior Colton Martinez, setting the tone for the night.
After the first quarter, Dinuba led the Pirates 21-4 and used that momentum to cruise away with a 53-40 victory.
The game was a rescheduled game that was originally scheduled for early in the season.
The honored seniors are shown left.
After Tuesday night’s game against Exeter, the Dinuba boy’s basketball team will get a week’s rest and will enter the Central Section’s Division III playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
As of Tuesday, Maxpreps had the Emperors ranked as the No. 4 team in the Division. Dinuba is also ranked No. 22 in the Central Section.

Prior to the start of the 2018 Dinuba High School baseball season, a small group of Emperor Alumni gathered together on their old stomping grounds to swing the bat and throw the ball around. It was all part of an event on Saturday that featured a youth camp, batting practice and a pick-up game between players and alumni.

You should also be aware that the lien being auctioned off may
be a junior lien. If you are the highest bidder at the auction, you are or may be responsible for paying off all liens senior to the lien being auctioned off, before you can receive clear title to the property. You are encouraged to investigate the existence, priority, and size of outstanding liens that may exist on this property by contacting the county recorder’s office or a title insurance company, either of which may charge you a fee for this information. If you consult either of these resources, you should be aware that the same lender may hold more than one mortgage or deed of trust on this property. NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNER: The sale date shown on this notice of sale may be postponed one or more times by the mortgagee, beneficiary, trustee, or a court, pursuant to Section
