Marcus McMaryion and the Fresno State Bulldogs football team rolled to a 49-27 win over Toledo Saturday night at Bulldogs Stadium McMaryion recorded five touchdowns for the second straight game while putting up career-high’s in passing yardage with 386 and four TD’s through the air. Led by senior SayDee Alcala, the Orosi High girls volleyball team remained on top of the West Sequoia League standings defeating Orange Cove High School, 3-0, last week.
Alcala had a match-high 11 kills, six service aces and 15 digs as the Cardinals won the first two sets by the identical score of 25-10 before taking the third set 25-22.
Senior Sheanne Baniaga had seven kills and two service aces and eight digs. Lesli Viveros ended the match with four kills and three digs. Teammate D. Rubalcaba had nine digs and four service aces.
As a team, the Cardinals had 13 service aces.
Orosi continued league play hosting Fowler late Tuesday night. Results of the match were unavailable at press time.
The Cardinals travel today to face Caruthers before hosting Parlier on October 9.
