Sanger shelter dogs available for adoption will be at the Clovis Tractor Supply Store on Herndon Avenue near the intersection with Clovis Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 27, said shelter volunteer Kim Reed.
"This [the Sanger city yard] is just not a high traffic area. In fact, most people don't even know where it is. We're hoping to give
the dogs a better chance to be adopted by giving them more exposure," said Reed.
Waiting for you to come by and meet them are:
• Buster Brown, a 1-2 year old happy, en- ergetic pitbull mix who likes cookies, playing, walking and hugging;
• Misty, a playful, high energy young lady lab mix, already spayed, about 2 years old who loves to walk and go for car rides;
• Blaze, a young pitbull mix who likes to
play and gets along well with everyone;
• Doc, a sweet, friendly, gentle and mature
pitbull mix who has been in the shelter for awhile and would really like to be your new best friend. He's maybe 6-7 years old, weighs about 50 pounds and loves to walk.
• JoJo, a happy two-year-old pitbull, is Sanger shelter's mascot! He does well with other dogs and kids and needs a forever home and a loving family.
Call Sanger animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 to make an appoint- ment to meet Angel, Buster, Misty, Doc, JoJo or any of the other dogs hoping for a forever home.
Adoption requires spaying/neutering and bringing the rabies shot up to date.
The only charge is to the veterinarian, Gregory Saiki DVM.

I'm not sure it's even worth mentioning the Weather Chan- nel's rain predictions any lon- ger because they never seem to pan out. We've probably had more predictions of rain this season than we have had rain.
But the predicted tempera- tures have been pretty much on the mark.
So let's just enjoy the fairly warm daytime weather and bundle up for the nighttime weather which lately has felt a lot colder than it actually is.
For what it's worth, both the Weather Channel and the Old Farmer's Almanac are not anticipating a very wet rest of the winter.
There still should be lots of blossoms in time for our Blos- som Festival on March 3.
Daily temperatures are courtesy of the Weather Channel.
