'Reign of Terror' suspect shot up home in Sultana

The suspect in a Tulare County rampage that left one mad murdered also shot up a home in Sultana, Tulare County Sheriffs Detectives say.
Officers say Gustavo Garcia, 36, of Visalia started his reign of terror on Sunday afternoon, after opening fire on a farmworker as he picking fruit on a ladder in

Sunday, detectives say he tried to shoot and kill a woman at a Motel 6 in Tulare.
After shooting at a Shell Gas Station in Pixley in the early morning of Monday, Dec. 17, Visalia Police officers responded to a shots fired call at an AM/ PM gas station on Lovers Lane. When officer arrived around 3 a.m. they found one man dead at the scene.
Officers say just after that he shot at a house in Visalia before heading north and shot at a house in Sultana.
His crime spree came to an end after a pursuit with officers in the Porterville area that resulted in Garcia dying in a vehicle collision. At least one other victim is in critical condition.

-Armando Luna Mercado Cruz, 25, of Fresno was booked on Dec. 10 on suspicion of kidnapping, sexual battery and false imprisonment, all felonies, and battery to a spouse, ex-spouse or date, a misdemeanor.
According to police, he reportedly met up with his ex-girlfriend in the city of Dinuba and forcefully took her in her vehicle to a location outside of town. Out in an undisclosed Tulare County area, police say he sexually assaulted her.
Officers say the victim asked that Mercado Cruz let her go, but he reportedly continued to hold her against her will. Police say he later returned to Dinuba and released the victim. He was later located at his residence in Fresno and taken into custody.
He was booked and transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for housing.
-Debra Lynn Menefee, 54, a transient of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 10 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Police say they responded to the 700 block of Rosemary Avenue for a call of an unwanted subject who was ringing a doorbell numerous times. After making contact with her, officers say she was asked what she was doing at the residence. She reportedly stated that her uncle was having a heart attack.
While speaking with her officers say she displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was given a field sobriety test, to which she failed, and was taken into custody. She was booked and transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility.
-Oran Gaylord, 30, of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 11 on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

him after hours at the downtown entertainment plaza in the 200 block of South L Street. According to police, for safety reasons, a pat search was performed. The search reportedly resulted in officers finding drug paraphernalia on his person. He was arrested and transported to the Dinuba Police Department for booking.
While at the police station, officers say he displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked and later transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility.
-Hector Ortiz Camarena, 29, of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 11 on suspicion of elder abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorizing threats, all felonies, and battery, a misdemeanor.
Police say he was arrested in the 900 block of South College Avenue after officers received a call of an assault. The victim, described by police as an elderly male, alleged that Camarena struck him three times with a wooden stick. Officers found the victim to have injuries to both of his legs.
Camarena is alleged to have also threatened to kill the victim. He was booked and transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility.
-Antonio Francisco Lopez, 28, a transient of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 12 on suspicion of being in possession of unlawful paraphernalia, being in possession of a controlled substance and providing false identification to a police officer, all misdemeanors.
According to police, he was contacted in the 9600 block of Avenue 416 while walking in the center median near Road
96. After being identified he was found to have an active warrant. A search reportedly revealed he was in possession of a controlled substance and a glass pipe.
He was transported to the Dinuba Police Department for booking and then later transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for housing.
-Alexander Victor Davila, 33, of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 13 on suspicion of being in possession of controlled substance for sale and carrying a concealed weapon, both felonies, and being in possession of a firearm without identification marks, a misdemeanor.
Police say they made contact with him after responding to a family disturbance in the 1100 block of Roe Avenue. Officers say he was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm with altered or removed serial numbers. Also found in his bedroom, according to police, was a scale, packaging material and residue of methamphetamine.
He was taken into custody and later transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for housing.
-Emiliano Torres, 25, of Dinuba was booked on Dec. 17 on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, a felony.
Police say they responded to the 500 block of Harvard Avenue for a call of domestic violence. The victim stated he had pushed her onto the floor of the residence and bit her finger, causing a break in the skin and bleeding. He was also found to have an active local bench warrant for burglary.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for booking.
