stop. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and was transported to Fresno County Jail.
• A license plate was re- ported stolen in the 900 block of P Street.
• A male subject was ar- rested for an outstand- ing warrant in the 400 block of Academy Av- enue.
• Illegal fireworks were confiscated in the 700 block of Academy Av- enue after officers con- ducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Family Dollar. During the stop, the officer observed sev- eral illegal fireworks in plain view in the rear seat of the vehicle. Along with having the illegal fireworks confis- cated, the driver of the vehicle was also issued a citation.
• A vehicle pursuit oc- curred after officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 1300 block of 7th Street. According to police, the vehicle was breaking traction and driving in a negligent manner. When officers stopped the vehicle and exited their units, the driver reportedly accel- erated on the gas pedal in an attempt to evade officers. The pursuit ended in the area of 4th and L streets when the driver’s vehicle collided with curb. The driver also reportedly became resistant, causing of- ficers to use a taser to take him into custody. He was found to be driv- ing while impaired and, after treated a hospital, was transported to the Fresno County Jail.
• A male subject was ar- rested for public intoxi- cation in the 1300 block of 7th Street after offi- cers contacted him dur- ing a bar check.

• Someone reportedly attempted to kick in the back door of a vacant residence in the 800 block of N Street.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the area of Jensen and Bethel avenues.
• A report of a male sub- ject on probation possi- bly having a gun was re- ported in the 900 block of Holt Avenue.
• A domestic dispute was reported in the 100 block of Dalton Avenue. • A subject was arrest- ed in the 700 block of Academy Avenue for a probation violation and for being in possession of narcotics.
• A warrant arrest was made in the area of 9th and N Streets.

• A two vehicle non- injury traffic collision was reported in the 900 block of Bethel Avenue. • Sanger Police Officers assisted US Marshals in apprehending a wanted felon in the 1500 block of Edgar Avenue.

• An arrest was made in the 500 block of Acade- my Avenue after a large amount of marijuana and packaging parapher- nalia, including scales and empty baggies, was found during a traffic

• Assault report, behind Jack in the Box off Manning Avenue and I Street, 10:28 p.m. Officers determined the vic- tim was assaulted by another person who was armed with what appeared to be an axe. Victim sustained injuries, but none were life-threatening.

Both were reportedly uncoopera- tive and the male was subsequently arrested for DUI and for an out- standing warrant. • Two subjects were re- portedly found trespass- ing in the 2400 block of Al- mond Avenue. After a field interview, both subjects were sent on their way.
• Officers responded to the 500 block of J Street for a report of a distur- bance in the middle of the road. Upon arrival, officer contacted an in- toxicated male subject standing in the middle of the roadway. He was arrested for public in- toxication.
• Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Academy Av- enue on a Chevy Sub- urban, which was re- portedly occupied by five males. During the traffic stop, two of the passengers reportedly attempted to exit the vehicle and were subse- quently arrested for po- lice obstruction.
• Officers responded to the 1500 block of J Street for a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, the victim said she was assaulted by her ex- husband, who had fled the scene by the time officers arrived. During the investigation, the male suspect reportedly called the National Sui- cide Hotline and advised them he was sitting on a bridge along the canal bank in the area of An- nadale and Newmark avenues and was feel- ing suicidal. Officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest him without incident. He was later transported to the Fresno County Jail.
• A male subject was issued a citation for be- ing in possession of ille- gal fireworks in the 500
block of Faller Avenue. • A male subject was ar- rested for driving while under the influence af- ter officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 180 and New- mark Avenue.
Sunday, June 28
There were 84 (day) calls for service and 3 traffic citations were is- sued.
• A male subject was ar- rested in the 800 block of Hoag Avenue for assault with a deadly weapon and brandish- ing a replica firearm. Officers say the victim stated he was physical- ly attacked at his. After he was able to put the suspect in a headlock, the suspect report- edly pulled a firearm from his waistband and struck the victim on the head with it. He then pointed the firearm at the back of the victim’s head before fleeing with accomplices in a vehi- cle. He was later located hiding in his residence, taken into custody and later transported to Fresno County Jail.
• Officers attempted a vehicle stop of a sub- ject on a black ATV in the area of Edgar and J Street. The driver of the ATV, police say, refused to pull over and attempt- ed to evade officers at a high rate of speed. He subsequently lost control of the ATV in the area of North Avenue and J Street and collided with the rear of a parked big rig commercial truck parked along the south side of North Avenue. As officers approached the
subject, they noticed a firearm tucked into his waistband. The firearm was later determined to be an air soft gun, but the driver of the ATV sustained severe injuries and needed to be airlift- ed to CRMC, where he was listed in stable con- dition and was expected to survive.
• A male subject was reportedly struck in the arm and head with a bat in the 400 block of Acad- emy Avenue. The sus- pect reportedly pulled into the parking lot near Sanger Park where he and another subject ex- ited a brown Chevy S10 truck. The two subjects
reportedly began argu- ing with the victim be- fore one of the attacked the victim with a bat. The victim declined medical attention and became uncooperative. • A male subject was arrested for DUI in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue after he report- edly drove onto his ex- wife’s lawn. Officers say his blood alcohol level was .17 percent. He was later transported to the Fresno County Jail.
• A 16-year-old male was arrested in the 2600 block of Jensen Avenue for reportedly breaking the glass door to a busi- ness at the location.
