aj Sean Jones has had a remarkable career serving in the RAVC with distinction for
over 35 years through dedication, hard work, and exceptional performance over an extended period. On the 1st
of February 23, DATR enjoyed a visit from Director Land Warfare, Major General C Barry CBE. On this visit, Maj Jones was deservedly recognised for his contribution by being presented with a Chief of the General Staff Commendation.
Maj Jones has consistently shown a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty both on Operations as well as in the UK and overseas, taking on challenging tasks and leading by example with distinction. More recently, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to
the RAVC both serving and retired in his role as RAVC Association Chair and has been an exemplar of Army and Corps values throughout his career.
Maj Jones’ dedication to the RAVC and whatever
team he has managed is truly inspiring. He is a shining example of the very best that the RAVC has to offer. His tireless work ethic and attention to detail have made him an indispensable asset to the RAVC and is thoroughly deserving of the Chief of the General Staff Commendation.
Christmas Visit to Royal OChelsea Hospital
n Monday the 12th of December, Mrs Kristy Mccomiskie, the RAVC Regimental Secretary and Major Sean Jones, Chair of the RAVC Association,
along with his wife, Emma Jones visited the Royal Hospital Chelsea to deliver Christmas gifts to our two RAVC In Pensioners. The team had lunch with David Hathorn in the grand settings of the Great Hall and spent the afternoon chatting and reminiscing about days gone by. Unfortunately, Barrie Davy was unable to attend but the team at RHC were able to pass on his presents, and our best wishes. The RAVC was very proud to wish all In Pensioners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
