A PAPER CHASE
In three days’ time, the animals from Top Field Primary were going to start their new term at Barns Wood Academy. Paris and her sisters had enjoyed their summer holiday. Together with their friends, they’d been fishing with Otter along the river, camping with their dads in the forest and go-kart racing at the mill. Paris’s dad had kindly arranged flights for them with Willow Heron over the valley.
‘This has been the bestest holiday ever,’ declared young Archie Hedgehog. ‘Do we really have to go to the big school?’
‘Sorry, little brother. We have no choice. There are still a few days left. Let’s go and find Jackson and Harry Squirrel. We might do something different today,’ grinned Matty.
