WHAT’S ON
Getting out and about...
THRAPSTON W.I.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30pm in Thrapston Baptist Church, St Paul’s Gardens NN14 4FE.
Visitors are very welcome at a charge
of £5.00 and we try to offer an engaging speaker or activity every meeting along with
a raffle and refreshments. This gives us a chance to meet others and make new friends. Northamptonshire WI also makes available a wide range of extra activities open to members and non members, with a full programme
for the coming year. If you are needing more information please be in touch. Thrapstonwicontactus@gmail.com
ROTARY SHOEBOX
We are hoping to fill 500 boxes again. We always need donations of cars, small games, coloured pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners and toothbrushes.
If you can help in any way, please drop items off at 10 Heron Avenue.
We will be having our Shoebox Day in The Plaza again on 7th October.
All will be supplied, so come and fill a shoebox for a child in need – it is great fun and a really good cause. It ties in with the Farmers Market and Indoor Market.
If you wish to donate items please bring them along. You can take a box for £3 and fill yourself or sponsor one for £5 and we will fill it. Thank you for supporting us.
THRAPSTON GARAGE SALE
Our next sale is Saturday 16th September from 9am-1pm.
We asked people’s opinion and that seemed to be most popular day and time.
Registration will begin at start of August at Farmers Market or via or Facebook page or forms from Town Council.
LADIES CLUB
The club was formed over 76 years ago and was previously known as Thrapston Ladies Fellowship Club. The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month (excl August) at 7.30pm in Thrapston Baptist Church.
We are a non-religious group who come together to listen to a variety of speakers throughout the year and we also arrange a club birthday meal, a summer outing and a Christmas meal.
We are a relaxed, friendly group of ladies and have at present around 40 members. Our annual subscription is £25 which includes our monthly fee for a raffle prize.
If you would like to give us a try the first visit is free of charge. Please feel free to just turn up or for more information contact our Chair Sheila on shankins1953@gmail. com or Secretary Jane on jane.stanyon2@ btinternet.com
