is also very important that our soldiers can communicate the benefits of reserve service to their civilian employers and co-workers. In June some of our soldiers together with their civilian employers had the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex at a lunch in the Officers’ Mess of 6 RIFLES.

Once again we can be truly proud of the contribution our reserve soldiers have made to Operations in Afghanistan. Two of our soldiers have deployed on individual mobilisations on OP HERRICK 20, they will remain deployed for up to 9 months.
The OP HERRICK 19 deployment
kept the Operational Support Office busy conducting pre-deployment welfare briefs for soldiers and their families and after the soldiers deployed keeping the families informed and providing functions for them to attend.
