In 1929, Sidney G Dyson and family opened a furniture shop. Then a little later in 1952 it was changed to a clock shop by his son-in-law Emil Skiba, who upon his retirement passed the business to his daughter, Jo Elwood.
In 2010 Greenman Antiques was opened, specializing in 17th -19th century mahogany, walnut and oak furniture, Georgian silver, fine china, jewellery, collectibles and decorative glassware. Jo runs the shop with Garry Martin and her daughter Vicky Elwood.
What made you choose Oundle?
The building directly opposite The
Clock Shop became available and we wanted to expand our business to diversify into the sales and restoration of antique furniture as well as
jewellery and general antiques.
