SCOUT & ABOUT
Beavers and Cubs to Scouts
2nd Thrapston Scout Group has had a fun time since September 2022. The Beavers & Cubs have had adventures and fun, including a visit from Beat Route Radio to record a show that was played that weekend. All the Beavers & Cubs asked for a dedication which was played.
Beavers (6 to 8 years)
The Beavers have been busy! They have been looking at the stars, and in October they had a sleepover at Berzerk, with plenty of time for play on the equipment and being able to sleepover and enjoy the next day. They also did cycling maintenance, including fixing a puncture and safety when riding their bikes.
Cubs (8 to 10 years)
The Cubs have been busy with their gardening & cycling maintenance. At time of writing,
they were rehearsing for their mini Christmas show for the parents and will also have made Christmas cards with the Beavers. They also had a visit from the Institute for the Blind, to give them an insight into what it is like to be blind.
Scouts (10 to 14 years)
Currently in Thrapston we do not have a Scout section. We are looking for volunteers to help. If you are interested, then please get in touch.
Remembrance 2022
In November both the Beavers & Cubs took part in the Remembrance Day Parade to pay their respects, laying a wreath in the church.
The Year Ahead
For 2023 we have some exciting times ahead, with activity days and camps for both sections. My thanks go to all the leaders and volunteers that make the group a success and a joy. We are a growing group that relies on volunteers and we are looking for adults to help in the Beaver and Scout sections. We have roles to fit every lifestyle and skillset, with all the relevant training provided. If you are interested, contact us at 2nd-thrapston@nenevalleyscouts.org
