LATE NIGHT SHOPPING
Thrapston High Street businesses are pleased to be offering two shopping evenings in the run up to Christmas:
Shops will be open all day through until 8-9pm (do check closing times with each business).
Visit Auburn Fox, Forget Me Not, Hilly Horton Home, Inspired Interiors, Jollys Toys, Mercy in Action & Primrose Gallery for shopping. Bennett’s café will be open for festive refreshments.
The Parlour at 62 as well as RJ Barbershop will be open for hair and beauty too (appointments recommended).
We hope you’ll pop down for an evening of Christmas shopping and enjoy supporting your local High Street.
CHRISTMAS
TREE FESTIVAL at St Nicholas Church, Islip
This year the Christmas Tree Festival will take place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th December, from 10.30am to 4.30pm and on Sunday 5th from 12.30 to 4pm when an Advent Carol Service will take place.
Anyone can enter a tree decorated in a theme depicting cartoon character(s) or an animated film.
Trees can be real or artificial in any medium but no larger than five feet in height. Any decorative lighting should be battery operated as electricity mains points are not available.
Trees should be delivered to Islip Church by 6pm on Thursday December 2nd.

Volunteer Action is a local charity which offers two services in Thrapston and the surrounding villages for those in receipt of the State Pension or with disabilities/life limiting illnesses.
Community Transport Scheme
Do you need transport to medical appointments, other health appointments or for social visits? Our volunteer drivers could take you.
Befriending Scheme
Are you feeling in need of some extra companionship? Our Face to Face visits or telephone calls could keep you in regular contact with one of our volunteers.
