Daily digger deliveries
In 2018, Daniel Eyles, set up DCE Plant Hire and he hasn’t looked back. His reliability and friendliness, along with his superb machinery has driven his business to new heights.
What made you choose Thrapston? We live here and wanted to provide a local service within a 30 mile radius of our yard.
Tell us more... We researched the area
and found a niche market for plant and tool hire, no one locally could provide this service with a family run personal touch. Holly is our Operations Manager and is the first point of contact for our customers. She is really friendly, helpful and talks you through the hire, step by step. This makes our customers feel at ease, as many of them haven’t hired equipment before.
Any plans to expand further? Yes, we plan to grow with more machinery and tools being added early next year as our customer base is growing week by week. Everyone seems very
happy with our service and more and more local tradesmen are setting up accounts.
What is the best thing about your job?
Meeting new people and hearing all about their exciting projects, finding out what they want to achieve and knowing it can be completed using our machinery.
Describe your business in five words?
Friendly, reliable, passionate, unique, unrivaled. Most hired machine? Oh tricky one, I’d say our smallest machines in the range, the micro
digger with a retracted width of just 700mm so it can pass through any standard doorway, closely followed by our 1.5t range of diggers.
Do machines get damaged? We really
look after our machinery and keep it looking
as new as possible, but occasionally it does
get damaged. They are rugged machines but sometimes accidents happen – thankfully it’s all generally replaceable items.
