Freedom of the Borough of Surrey Heath
On Sunday 12 September our family had the pleasure and privilege of watching JHG(SE) on parade in Camberley receiving The Freedom of the Borough of Surrey Heath. The event was a big hit with our grandchildren, with much flag waving and dancing to the music!
The march past with the AMS band leading was great to watch, both from the perspective of being retired QAs, and from the perspective of being Surrey Heath residents. Having lived in Surrey Heath since 1987 we really appreciate having service colleagues working alongside NHS staff in providing care for us. One of the comments made by Air-Vice Marshall Walton in her speech was how integrated the service personnel are within the Frimley Health Trust, and that is definitely how we have found it. Well done to all those on the parade and all those who worked behind the scenes to make it all run smoothly.
