Thrapston, Denford and Islip Churches .............................
At the time of writing (25.02.21) our church buildings remain temporarily closed but we are hopeful that they will reopen in the near future. Whilst the Government has allowed places of worship to remain open during this Lockdown our PCCs took the decision in January to suspend public worship as the increased rate of transmission made it difficult to gather together safely. Following the announcements on 23rd February
the PCCs will revisit this decision at their next meetings and consider when it is safe to reopen the church buildings. In the meantime we will continue to offer online services every week on our website www. tdichurches.co.uk. The churches are still open for funerals if required.
We hope you can join us at our monthly Benefice Prayer meeting on Zoom. Much as we did when we were able to meet in person, we will come together, for about 45 minutes, to pray for people and ministry across the benefice, plus matters of local, national and international concern. Email tdichurches@gmail.com for the link.
The Tuesday Coffee morning is now meeting on Zoom too! Pop the kettle on and join in with the chat ending with a thought for the day. You’ll be very welcome. Email tdichurches@gmail.com for the link.
The children and young people are getting together too. JAMES Club (primary school children) are having regular Zoom meetings at which they catch up, play a game and listen to a bible story. They meet at 9.00am for half an hour on most Sunday mornings (apart from family service and holiday weekends). If you would like to join in just email Nolan at tdichurches@gmail.com to be sent the meeting link.

St James’ Youth (secondary school age) are also meeting regularly as they explore the Bible and discover why it’s so good to be a disciple of Jesus in our contemporary culture. If you are a young person who hasn’t already joined in with what they are doing, then just email Jason Royce via tdichurches@gmail.com to find out how you can get involved.
So although we are not able to meet together physically there’s lots going on and we send love and prayers to you all. Praise the Lord that even in Lockdown there are plenty of ways to grow as believers online or over the phone.
Islip: Online services for the Benefice should be continuing during April. At the time of going to press live services at Islip for Easter and the rest of April have not been finalised. We are hoping very much that a live service for Easter Sunday can be arranged but this is too early to say and the situation can change at short notice these days!
Please therefore keep an eye on the website www.tdichurches.co.uk

Denford: At the time of going to press
any April services are open for discussion. However, it is hoped that we could possibly begin with an Easter Sunday Communion service and continue more regularly after that. Information and weekly services can be found on line at www.tdichurches.co.uk.
Easter Competition: We are inviting children and grandchildren from Denford to decorate a pebble with an Easter theme and bring it to be judged over the Easter weekend.
We are also hoping to hold a distanced Easter egg treasure hunt on Easter Sunday. More details can be obtained by contacting Heather on 734606.
Stay safe! We look forward to seeing each other in person as soon as we can!!
