THRAPSTON PLAZA OPERA ‘La Bohème’ - Auditions
Following the success of ‘L’Elisir d’Amore’ last February, Thrapston Plaza Opera will be holding Open Auditions for the solo rôles in Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’ on Sunday 7th July at 2pm in Thrapston Plaza, Cosy Nook, NN14 4PS.
Chorus members are not auditioned but
take part in an introductory warmup rehearsal at the start. New members will be made most welcome or anyone just interested in finding out a little more. Experienced singers are invited to audition for the two lead female parts and the six lead male parts.
Our operas are fully staged with orchestral accompaniment and always sung in English. For full details visit: thrapstonplazaopera.

Thrapston Ladies Club
Thrapston Ladies Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at Thrapston Baptist Church, St Pauls Gardens at 7.30pm.
We have a range of interesting speakers, including Quiz nights, Bingo & Chips, Black Tie evening, Christmas meal, and day trips out to eg, Springfield Shopping Centre. Our speaker for our June meeting is Steve Dimmer and the talk is “Only Fools and Horses”.
We are a friendly, informal, group of ladies and would love you to join us. First visit is free and annual membership is £30.

LINE DANCERS
Thrapston Line dancers invite you to mosey on down to the Charter Fair and join in with the cowgirls and cowboys and give line dancing a go in Thrapston High Street at 4.15pm.

Flower Festival
Wedding Anniversaries ‘From Paper to Diamond’ will be depicted in our Flower Festival at St Nicholas Church, Islip.
On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July from 10.30am until 4.30pm and on Sunday 7th July from 12.30pm to 6pm. Followed by a service of Praise and thanksgiving.
Coffee, tea and cakes served throughout.
