WAVB returns to rehearsals
The RAF Wyton Area Voluntary Band is delighted to have returned to rehearsals on the 6th of October after nearly seven months away due to COVID 19 restrictions. The last time the Band played together was on the 12th of March where they supported a Dinner Night in the WO and Sergeants Mess at RAF Honington.
The Band gained permission to use the
small gymnasium which allows for good social distancing and ventilation, as defined by the Government guidelines for the Arts. The Band is most grateful to Sgt Mark Leach and his team for their support in allowing the band to use the facility.
The Band will unfortunately not be on Parade on Remembrance Sunday but will support two events in Huntingdon with
trumpeters playing Last Post and Reveille and will also be recording some music to be used over the Christmas Period.
WAVB have not been rehearsing during the second lockdown. Nevertheless, The Band would like to wish all it’s supporters and friends a Happy Christmas.
