E COMPANY TAKE TO THE WATER WITH AN ADVENTURE TRAINING WEEKEND
Over the weekend of 2 – 3 October, cadets and adult volunteers of E Company headed to Manvers Lake for a weekend of Paddle-boarding.
On Saturday 2 October, the cadets took to the water under the instruction of the County AT Officer, Lieutenant Paul Meares. After a tour of the facilities, the cadets donned their wetsuits and buoyancy aids before taking the plunge.
Despite the rain and a few mishaps where they fell into the lake, the cadets had a great time, all passing their ACF Swim Test and mastering standing while paddling.
Sunday 3 October saw the adult volunteers take to the water, for some team building fun. The sun was shining and they all enjoyed the opportunity to take part in AT.
The Officer Commanding E Company, Maj Clare Kirk said: “A massive thank you to Lieutenant Meares and his team for putting the cadets and adults through their paces. They had a great time and we look forward to doing more in the new year”.
