September has already proved to be a busy month for the church family with some members starting school for the first time, others changing year groups or moving schools and some going away to university for the first time. We wish them all well and send our love and prayers to them. Groups which took a break through the summer have restarted so join us on Monday mornings for Praise and Play, a group for under fives and their grown ups which meets in church from 9-10.30am.
Our Sunday morning groups have started again too. JAMES Club is a thriving group for primary age children that meets during the 9.30am service on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month. Email tdichurches@gmail.com for more information or come along and try it out.
Our Youth group for 11+ meets on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month during the service on Sunday mornings too.
Both groups provide an opportunity for our young people to learn more about God’s love. New members and visitors are always welcome.
A Harvest Family Barn dance with Ploughman’s supper is planned for the afternoon of October 2nd from 3.30-6.00pm. For bread making enthusiasts this will include

If you can’t make Sunday why not pop in on
a Tuesday morning? Tuesday Communion Services at 9.45am in the chancel of St James Church Tuesday Together and Saturday Coffee mornings are proving very popular so why not join us in St James between 10-12 noon on Tuesdays or Saturdays, where there is always a good biscuit and chat to be enjoyed.
Please note coffee on Saturday 22nd October will be in the Church Hall.
Knitting for beginners on Monday evenings from 6.30-8.00pm. Come along and learn how to knit or crochet. It’s free and a lot of fun. No need to book or even bring your own knitting. For more details contact Sue on 01832 733717.

Join us for prayer on Wednesday evenings in church from 6.45-7.15pm. A time to bring current concerns to the Lord in prayer.
Islip Church look forward to welcoming you to their Autumn Fair between 10.30am-4.30pm on October 14th and 15th when there will be arts, crafts, vintage clothes and accessories for sale plus refreshments of tea, coffee and cakes throughout the event.
Don’t forget the Macmillan Coffee morning in Islip Village Hall on Friday 30th September from 10am until 12 noon.
