Top gate prior to refurbishment (Nov 2020)

Spruce up at Maesycoed Allotments
    Gate refurbishments, installation of a new noticeboard, along with various new signage on-site
A small grant scheme application was submitted to Pontypridd Town Council in August 2020 by the Secretary (Mr A.J. House), which was successful, and a sum of £200 was awarded to
the Association on 4th December 2020. Prior to the award and following a successful grant application the previous year, a committee meeting was held in September where the Secretary wished to discuss how to use the monies if awarded. At this meeting, the committee decided:
• Torefurbishthemainaccessgate and top gate to our garden.
• Installation of a new notice board at the top gate entry.
• New signage at main gate to include our website.
• New signage at the top gate.
• New health and safety signage
following our in-house risk assessment by our designated Risk Assessment Officer.
I wish at this point to place a special mention for our
procure signage as local as possible, whilst fully aware of the budget of £200 plus 15%. All works were completed on Friday 11th December 2020.

It was also decided at this meeting to purchase materials in advance due
to the current Covid restrictions so that, if the Association was successful, then the works could be carried
out immediately. The Secretary was nominated to source materials and to
