Additionally, the more experienced NCOs conducted drill revision and an introduction to cane drill for those with more advanced skills.
After lunch we embarked on an adventure to RAF Akrotiri where we enjoyed go-karting amidst a breathtaking backdrop overlooking the sea. Cadet Cpl Rowan Beveridge emerged triumphant as the winner overall.
DAY3
Being the weekend and with the majority of the units in Episkopi and Akrotiri being stood down, there was the opportunity to have a more relaxed day. The day commenced with clay pigeon shooting followed by a visit to the archaeological site of Kourion previously mentioned. Of particular note was the awe-inspiring Amphitheatre section.
DAY4
Now Sunday, our itinerary continued on a more leisurely pace, more like being on a family holiday. We ventured into Paphos, the island's largest port, where we strolled along the harbour. Cadets walked to Paphos Castle, where an amusing incident occurred involving Corporal Thomas Haigh losing his cap in the moat, prompting a daring retrieval mission; closely supervised of course!
